2nd China and Czech academic seminar on wheel/rail tribology of railway transit successfully organized

2nd China and Czech academic seminar on wheel/rail tribology of railway transit was successfully held on 21st, June, 2021 in the conference room of Institute of Tribology. The seminar was chaired by Researcher Wang Wenjian of the School of Mechanical Engineering, adopting the meeting mode under the combination of online and offline. The seminar was designed to promote the research work of National Key R&D Program Intergovernmental Key Items for International Scientific and Technological Innovation Cooperation, the 43rd Regular Meeting Exchange Project of China-Czech Science and Technology Cooperation Committee, and the High-end Foreign Experts Introduction Program.

The meeting began with the introduction of the background, purpose and participants of the seminar by Researcher Wang. Then, Radovan Galas, Assistant Researcher of the School of Mechanical Engineering of Brno University of Science and Technology, Haohao Ding, Assistant Researcher of School of Mechanical Engineering of Southwest Jiaotong University, Petr kejda, Development Designer of Czech Tribotec company, and Bingnan Wu, Doctoral student of School of Mechanical Engineering of Southwest Jiaotong University, did the subject reports respectively focused on "Development of method for assessing top of rail products" and "development of method for assessing top of rail products","Wear and damage of wheel / rail under complex conditions", "Proportional dosing unit for granular top-of-rail materials", "Research on development, application and testing of water base friction modifier for railway transit". Participant from both China and Czech had a lively discussion on the contents of the reports.

After the discussion of academic reports, the participants further implemented the research content, research progress, problems to be solved at the present stage, and the next cooperation work and plan of key special projects, laying a good foundation for the smooth progress of key special projects.
