June 26 – July 1, Prof. Ruan Wenrong, Vice-President of University of Transportation and Communications (UTC) from Vietnam visited Southwest Jiaotong University.
Prof. Fan Pingzhi, Vice-President of SWJTU held talk with Vietnamese guests. Two parties exchanged ideas in bilateral cooperation. Prof. Ruan introduced the recent development in research and teaching activities for postgraduate students in UTC. Especially, Prof. Ruan highlights that UTC has utilized funding from Vietnam government to educate PhD students.
Prof. Fan briefed SWJTU’s recent achievements in research particularly in high-speed railway field. Prof. Fan expressed that two universities could together conduct training courses for Vietnamese railway professionals in the future.
